Sports and Career: Podiatrist William Levine

William Levine Podiatrist
Being able to appreciate sports as well as medical school is a rare combination. For future podiatrist William Levine, sports was the escape from the cutthroat environment that was brooding at medical school. While he understood the necessity for this behaviour, as a child of three, he was always of the mindset that people should work together as a community. Because of this differential in thought that his fellow students had, now podiatrist, William Levine, would often find himself at the hoops as a means for escape from the competitive environment. He also spent time working for charities and other causes which helped him to remember what he was working for: to be able to help people.

Chicago & William Levine

William Levine Podiatrist
Dr. William Levine, now a podiatrist, knew he wanted to attend medical school. In fact, he’d known for years. So when the time came for him to move to Chicago, Illinois, in order to attend Rosalind Franklin University School of Medicine, he jumped at the chance. He not only excelled in medical school by earning good marks, but also greatly enjoyed exploring all the city had to offer. Catching glimpses of Frank LLoyd Wright architecture, eating Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, and even seeing the legend Michael Jordan play basketball in his home arena.

Although he was only in Chicago for four years, Dr. William Levine still considers it a second home of sorts. During the final year of medical school, he spent time at Fort Leonard Wood Army base, working in the hospital as a student doctor.
